Madonna Arnold's Obituary
Madonna Joan Arnold was born January 3, 1931 in Abilene, Kansas to Dorothy and Jake Strunk. She died January 9, 2013 in Tacoma, Washington with her family by her side.
After following her father's military travels, she was relocated to Fort Lewis, and graduated from Clover Park High School in 1949.
On March 3, 1965, she met her love, Edward, and were married a short time later on January 22, 1966 - prior to Ed serving in Vietnam.
Madonna's interests were her home, gardening and flowers. She managed them until she became too ill to care for them, then she instructed Ed to take over.
Her other interest was decorating trees for the Mary Bridge Festival of Trees - this year being her 26th year of involvement. Included in those years, Madonna served as Co-Procurement Committee with Ed to setup Jingle Bell Jam until it got too large for two people.
Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Edward, Tacoma; daughter, Tracy Lynn, husband Gregory (Mike) Reda; grandchildren, Cramer James Reda and Lynsey Elizabeth Reda, all of Puyallup; brothers, Jack Walker of Steilacoom and Tracy Floyd and Carol of Roseburg, Oregon; and sister, Greta (JM) Pelham of Seattle.
