Mackenzie Rose Marzano's Obituary
Mackenzie Rose Marzano was granted her angel wings on March 11th 2016 at just 5 months old. Her final hours were spent surrounded by family and loved ones.
Mackenzie's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She never spoke a word, but her voice and thoughts could always be heard.
Although Mackenzie being a micro preemie, she possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She could spend hours cuddling close to those she loved so much. She enjoyed expressive faces, sleeping in her loved ones arms, and being read stories. She loved looking out the window, her binky, the black and white fish on her mobile, soft relaxing music, and listening to the voices of her parents, loved ones, and nurses.
With Mackenzie's passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. We will miss her every day, especially her sweet smile, big brown eyes, and feisty spirit. She will forever remain in our hearts, and we will continue to tell her story and talk about her to keep her close to our hearts. Although her life was too short, only 169 days all spent in the NICU, we were able to create wonderful memories, and it has been a privilege to be her parents.
Mackenzie leaves behind many wonderful nurses that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. There is a special place in our hearts for All of these special people, too numerous to mention, that provided Mackenzie with love and dignity in her life and also in her death.
