Mabellene Marincin's Obituary
In loving memory of our mother Mabellene (Mabel) Marincin, born April 7, 1932 in Blount County, Alabama. Mabel went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 16, 2018. She is survived by her twin sister Mattie Sloan (Lincoln, NE) her children, George (Rick) Marincin II (Vicky); Sharon Wicken; Sallie Marincin (Mike Blake); Shirley Scott (Kevin); Sonja Angeline (Scott); as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan as well as her husband George Marincin.
Mabel moved to Tacoma WA with her twin sister in 1950, met her husband George shortly after. They were married in June of 1951. They resided in Tacoma where they raised their six children. Mabel was a long time and active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as well as being very involved in supporting her community.
Mabel was called home to be with her Lord after she became ill and was hospitalized. During the last month and a half her family and friends enjoyed time with her reminiscing, laughing and simply enjoying her good spirits and wittiness. She touched so many during her time here on earth, including her many friends she has known for years as well as others she met only a short time ago. She will be remembered by so many for her kind heart and genuine love for others.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many family and friends for supporting us during her final days.
As one very famous and admired evangelist once said, “ I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.” (Billy Graham)
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View, Lakewood WA at 10:30 am on Friday, April 27th, 2018 followed by a celebration of life service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Tacoma WA at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Tacoma WA or Concordia Lutheran School, Tacoma, WA.
