Mabel M. Sanders-Bodenhorn
Mabel passed away peacefully in her home in Tacoma on March 15, 2009. Mabel was born in Kentucky on May 30th, 1921, and came to Tacoma as a young girl . She attended Manitou Elementary and Gray Juniorr High. She was preceded in death by two husbands; Oscar Sanders and Robert Bodenhorn. Mabel was kind, loyal, and hardworking. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and loved a trip to the casino. She played pool, darts, and shuffleboard in numerous leagues over the years and made many, many friends. Mabel had a huge heart of gold and was there for anyone needing her help. She will always be loved and missed by her family and friends. She is survived by four children, Juanita Keeling, Gloria Jones, Lillian Robison, Roberta Bailey (Neal), 13 grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Garden Chapel located at Mountain View Funeral Home, Lakewood, WA.
