Lynn E Lundeen Creighton's Obituary
Lynn E. (Lundeen) Creighton, 81, of Fircrest, WA, peacefully passed away on January 8th, 2024
surrounded by loved ones.
Lynn was born on September 4th 1942 to Alice and Elwood “Woody” Lundeen. Lynn graduated
from Stadium HS in 1960, and went on to graduate from Bates Technical College as a
Licensed Practical Nurse. Lynn dedicated more than 40 years as a nurse, serving others at a
multitude of hospitals and spent the last 20 years of her career specializing in Addiction Treatment.
In her young life, Lynn enjoyed participating in Rainbow Girls and was a member of International
Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi chapter Phi Iota Sorority. Throughout her life, Lynn appreciated art,
Jazz and Blues Music, crocheting, Irish culture, watching PBS and enjoyed in many more
interests. She was very involved in VASA and Sons of Norway in celebration of her Swedish and
Norwegian Heritage and was a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She also
participated in the University Place Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling, taking annual trips with her
sisters, and took great pleasure in her grand tour of Sweden and Denmark in 2007. She felt very
connected to the ocean, as you could often find her taking a break at the Tacoma Waterfront and
Titlow Park, as well as relishing in family vacations to Ocean Shores. It gave her great joy
to decorate her home and mantel, especially to celebrate her favorite holiday, Halloween.
Lynn was a caring provider, sacrificing to provide a full life for her children and grandchildren. She
was a PTA president and supported all of her children and grandchildren hobbies, sports and
Education. She was a loyal friend of many years to Margaret Haskins, Mary Carl and Linda Gilbert.
Lynn was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Lundeen and is survived by siblings; Nancy
Minton, Debby Ramirez, Jack Burke, Eileen Burke, Joann Cameron and Patty Altomare, her
close Cousin; Susan Bussing, her Children; Chris Miller, Victoria Creighton, Chris Creighton,
Nephew; Todd, Grandchildren; Amanda Iverson, Jordan Miller, Kelsie Buchanan, Selsiah and
Haydin Creighton and great grandchild Kendrick Iverson.
Services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fircrest, WA at 11am January 27th
2024.
