Birth date: Sep 16, 1921 Death date: Feb 15, 2014
Today is March 9th 2014. Two days ago I learned of my Aunt Lydia's passing but knew nothing till then. Why my family was not contacted I don't know? I live up in Skagit Valley Washington. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family, her daughter in law Linda, her grandkids and all family who knew, loved her, and will deeply miss her. When I remember my Aunt Lydia I will smile and reflect upon our special times and visits from over the years. In my heart I know Aunt Lydia is with her husband Carl and her son Mike. All at peace and now together again. From my heart I would like to say I love and miss you Aunt Lydia. My visits and times with you these most recent years were not enough I know. I feel blessed to have known you. You are in my heart. Love Janine Koch
I first met Lydia Wilhelm when I was about 10 years old. Years later, from 1971 to 1975 she was my mother-in-law. Lydia was the best mother-in-law a person could ever have. She was kind, thoughtful, and generous beyond words. I feel blessed that we were able to continue our friendship through the years. Lydia was one of my closest friends and a confidant. I feel a tremendous void as I miss our regular telephone conversations and her laughter. I cherish all the wonderful memories I have of Lydia, and the Wilhelm family. I know Lydia deeply missed her husband, Carl, and her son, Michael, who passed before her, but I believe she has been reunited with them.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her 2 grandchildren whom she loved so much, and to her sister, Loraine. May Lydia rest in peace. I love you, Lydia, and will never forget you! Lynn Munneke
