Lula (Lou) Fuller Turnbull's Obituary
Lou Turnbull
Born September 7, 1914 in McComb, Mississippi to Lee and Lena Fuller and passed away on December 24, 2015 in University Place, Washington. After she graduated from McComb High School, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she attended Strayer Business College and began a six-year career working for the United States Treasury until she married G. Crawford Turnbull.
The Turnbulls moved to Tacoma when her husband became Office Manager for Meadowsweet Dairies. Lou is survived by her son Lawrence, daughter-in-law Mary Turnbull; and predeceased by her son George (Nick) C. Turnbull, Jr. of University Place; grandchildren James and Anne; and many nieces and nephews.
Lou was always fun to be with. She was a gifted seamstress, skilled player of cards, charming hostess and excellent cook. She loved to travel.
Active in her community, she was a member of the Robert Reynolds Orthopedic Guild, the Illema Book Club, the Cosmopolitan Study Club, and remained an active member of Chapter CA of PEO.
