Ludmilla Tutt's Obituary
Ludmilla “Millie” Tutt
February 26, 1926 – September 6, 2018
Millie was born near Graz, Austria. She lived a difficult and austere life in pre-WW II Austria and was conscripted into a labor during WW II. It was at the end of WW II when she met an American soldier, Robert Tutt, who then returned home to America, re-enlisted in the Army and returned to Europe to find her again. They were married in Germany and then she accompanied him on his Army career in Germany and the U.S. She arrived in the U.S. speaking little English but was ever proud of how fast she learned and how quickly she earned her American citizenship. She was a fiercely loyal American. They finally settled into a retired life in South Tacoma where she lived independently for many years after her husband’s death.
She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Tutt and her family, step son Kenneth Tutt and his family and daughter Diane Supler Marcotte (husband Steve).
We wish to thank the wonderful staff of Heritage House in Buckley and Franciscan Hospice for their excellent care and kindness in Millie’s final days.
The family plans a graveside service on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood.
