Lucius V Finley's Obituary
Lucius V. Finley, 90, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 14, 2013 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.
Lucius served in the U.S. Army during World War II, Vietnam and Korean conflict. He retired as a First Sergeant in 1973. He then went on to work for Madigan as an E.M.T. retiring there in 1988.
His family and friends will remember Lucius as a supportive husband and father, kind, gentle, patient, giving and positive. He was a man whom other men looked up to and tried to emulate. Even though the times that Lucius lived in where tumultuous with discrimination, he never uttered a negative word or allowed them to change his belief in the good of humanity. Our Dad truly had a “Heart of Gold”.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeong S. and daughters Tina L. and JoAnn Finley.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Mountain View Funeral Home Garden Chapel. Memorial donations can be sent to Asian Relief Inc., 180 Admiral Cochrane Dr. Suite 240, Annapolis, MD.
