Lucille Anna Johnson's Obituary
Mrs. Lucille Anna Johnson, 87, passed away on April 9, 2019. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on December 19, 1931.
She moved to the state of Washington as a child, and attended Grays Business College after graduating from Garfield High School in Seattle. She worked for over 22 years as a civilian employee for both the United States Army and the United States Air Force. On March 3, 1963, Lucille married the love of her life Benjamin “BJ” Johnson, and together they spent over 56 lovely years together. BJ was Lucille’s first priority. Even later in life, as her health started to fail, she always took pride in caring for her beloved husband. She was a selfless individual, always putting the needs of others before her own. Lucille enjoyed playing Bingo and the slot machines at Emerald Queens Casino. She will be remembered for cooking good food. Lucille’s infectious laugh will be one of the things her loved ones will miss the most.
In addition to her husband, Lucille is survived by her children, Paula (Clifton, Jr.) Frank, Wayne C. Davis, Tyrone Johnson; grandchildren, Kimberlie (Harvey) Cole, Marc (Stephanie) Davis, Kevin Frank, and Anthony Davis; great grandchildren, Daniel, Miko, Lisa, Karen, Yvonne, Deborah Michelle, Lydia, Abigail, and Emily; and her special “4-legged child” Penny. Lucille is predeceased by her parents, and children Lisa and Wendell.
A viewing will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, April 16 at the Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood. A memorial service will be celebrated at noon on Wednesday, April 17, in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood. Burial will follow.
