Lucas Daniel Trujillo-Petty's Obituary
Lucas Daniel Trujillo Petty was born February 26, 2006 and passed away October 31, 2022. Leaving us all much to soon, he is now our most precious guardian angel looking over us. Lucas was born 2 months prematurely at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma Washington, where he stayed for 3 months in the NICU. His addition to the Trujillo-Petty family was the greatest gift from God. Lucas joined his big brother Patrick who he so dearly looked up to and soon became the big brother to Cayelin and Mariah.
Lucas attended Idelwild Elementary, Hudtloff Middle School, and Steilacoom High school where he then transitioned to WAVA. Lucas had a brilliant mind and excelled in many different areas in life. Our talented baby shined bright as he quickly learned taekwondo with Black Belt USA Battleground MMA, played football for the Lakewood Steelers, soccer with the Steilacoom/Dupont/Lakewood Wolves, and wrestled for the Vikings in University Place, Hudtloff Middle School, and Steilacoom High school. He had a passion for downhill skiing and quickly mastered that, which was perfect for his winter birthdays.
Lucas’s kindness and fun exciting personality surrounded him with friends that loved and respected him. Lucas was a loyal and genuine person who valued his surroundings. He was known as a jokester and had an exceptionally contagious laugh that will forever be missed. He was adored by his grandparents and great-grandparents, all of which went above and beyond to support him; Shellie and Dan Trujillo, Mary Petty, Christina Trujillo and Marilyn Sutlief, along with his abundance of aunts and uncles.
Lucas is survived by his loving parents, Maria and Omar Petty, and his three proud siblings Patrick, Cayelin, and Mariah Petty. His viewing will be held at Mountain View Funeral & Cemetery 11-10-22 from 10AM- 4PM. Followed by his funeral on 11-11-22 starting at 2PM. The reception will be held at Lake City Community Church 11-11-22 at 4PM, where will be able to share memories, photos, and some of Lucas’s favorite foods. Lucas you are loved more than words can express and will be missed immensely. The 16 years you blessed our family with, will be held and cherished forever in our hearts.
