Lt. Patrick James Reninger's Obituary
LT. Patrick Reninger age 40, of Kennewick, WA. was suddenly called home to be with our Lord Jesus on May 28, 2018.
He was born on April 22, 1978 at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA. the second child of Richard Reninger and Joanne (Potocki) Horst.
After attending Yelm High School, Patrick married Kristen (Young) Reninger on July 27, 1997 in Olympia, WA. They proudly welcomed two sons and two daughters during their 20 plus year marriage: Mark Collin, Jacob Christopher, Bailey Ryan and Taylor Mae.
Patrick enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1997 where his exceptional marks made him a member of the prestigious Old Guard with the 3rd U.S. Infantry in Fort Myer, VA. After his tour, Patrick returned to his home state and began his 20 year career with the Department of Corrections, where he last served as a LT. at Stafford Creek. In 2016, Patrick moved his family across the Cascade Mountains to Kennewick joining the Franklin County Sheriff's Office where he was instrumental in developing modern policy and procedures for FCSO Corrections as the Operations Commander. His experiences and practices played a vital part in the ever changing paradigms within their Corrections Center.
When he wasn't cheering on the Seattle Mariners or Seattle Seahawks, Patrick could be found golfing, playing video games, riling up his beagle Harley or tinkering on his guitar. Most of all, Patrick loved spending time with his family, whom he adored.
His grandparents Zollie and Virginia Warren, Richard Potocki, Allan Elder, cousins Shannon Cocke', Adrian Waldron and uncle Howard Kissler preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Kristen, his children Mark, Jake, Bailey and Taylor, his parents Richard Reninger (Kathy) and Joanne Horst (Fred), his sister Sheila Benson (Greg), brother Nathan Reninger and step-sister Kathy Strong (Donald), his nieces Erin, Sarah, Ireland, Alyssa, Annabella and Angelina, his nephews Tyler, Dakoyta, Cayleb and Jonathan, his grandmother Christa Elder and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
