Loyman Skaggs' Obituary
Loyman Skaggs 4/2/1933 - 5/12/2008 Loving and devoted husband, dad and grandpa, went home to be with Our Lord on May 12, 2008. Loyman fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away at home with family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Darlene, daughter Linda, granddaughters Kasey and Shelby, and son Ronald (Stacey), granddaughters Victoria and Callista. Loyman served in Korea and 2 tours in Vietnam. Dad received 3 Bronze Stars and other honors. Retired from the Army after 24 years, he then went on to work for the F.D.A. and U.S. Customs. Dad didn't really retire, he was actively involved in the community and the daily life of granddaughters Kasey and Shelby, who lived just down the street. I could not have done it without you, Dad! Burial with military honors will be at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA, Mon., May 19, 2008 at 12:45 pm. A memorial service and celebration of his life will then be held at 3:00pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 10333 Bridgeport Way. Donations may be made in his name to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Forever in our hearts. Love, your family.
