Lowell Wayne Spry's Obituary
Lowell Wayne Spry, born April 27, 1927 in Amherst Nebraska, died July 30, 2010 in Tacoma, Washington. His family moved to the area when he was a teenager. He graduated from Lincoln High School, served in the Army during WWII, drove trucks locally most of his working life as a Teamster, and missed his 56th wedding anniversary to the love of his life by one week. He received recognition of his 50 years in the Masonic Lodge this past year where he served as a Master of more than one lodge and on state committees.
Lowell was predeceased by his parents, and brothers Lloyd and Dale. He is survived by his wife Beverly, brother Louis (Marilyn), children Chuck Spry (Melani), Cynthia Meeks (Don), and Cheryl O'Haleck (Matt), grandchildren Haley, Tim, Carson, Jason, and Jennifer (Joe), and many treasured nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church at the corner of South 54th and East B Streets.
