Lowell Edward EgmanMarch 4, 1923 to September 19, 2004Lowell passed away on September 19, 2004 with his family at his side.He was born in Superior, Wisconsin to Andrew and Mildred (Erickson) Egman and moved to Fife, Washington in 1936. He graduated from Fife High School in 1941 where he served as student body president and art editor for the yearbook. His artistic talent was evident by the age of 4 and he was regularly called upon throughout his school years to create posters, signs and props for plays. Following high school Lowell served in the United States Army from 1942 Â- 1945 as a communications specialist in the Aleutian Islands.After his military service he attended art school in Los Angeles and in Tacoma. Lowell and Patricia were married on September 24, 1949. He began his professional career in commercial art soon after they married and continued until he retired in 1985 (although he continued to support many of his clients on special projects).Lowell and Pat were members of the Fircrest Golf Club from 1974 to 1995. He enjoyed taking golf vacations to Oregon and southern California with Pat. He also liked the great outdoors and taught both of his sons how to hunt and fish as they were growing up.Lowell is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia, and daughters Janel Pehau (Paul), and Larraine Soule (Ed), son Stewart, grandchildren Justin, Briana, and Josi Pehau, and Erika, Jeremy, and Dean Soule, sister Lois Rees, nephews, Dale, Wayne, Lynn, and niece Sue Ellen. Lowell is preceded in death by son Garry Egman in 1987.Viewing will be held on Friday, September 24, 2004, from 12:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on September 25, 2004, at 2:00p.m. at the Mountain View Valley Chapel.
