Sometime in the early morning hours of January 5, the bright light that was the life of Lowell Anne Butson dimmed as she suddenly and unexpectedly died of natural causes. We say dimmed, not died, since that light will remain in th Read Obituary

When remembering someone and you get a smile on your face, it shows what a special person you are thinking about. That is Lowell. Thanks for the fun memories...

As one of the thousands of members of the Charles Wright community who have been positively affected by Lowell's leadership and behind the scenes efforts, I offer my condolences to the Butson family. On behalf of the students and families who did not know the extent to which Lowell helped make Charles Wright what it is today, we thank you.##imported-begin##Ken Whitney##imported-end##
We want to extend our deepest sympathy to you and our thoughts and prayers are with you today. (We are presently at our home in CA) My brother passed away last April and our daughter, Leslie Kantor, sent us the following poem which we want to share with you.
"The Broken Chain"
We little knew that day that God was going to call your name.
In Life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Sincerely,

Lowell was one of the most resilient people I have ever known. Even on her "pain" days, she always smiled and took the time to chat when we were there to take care of the pool, or other little things we'd do for them. She'd get out of bed to let the dogs out to see their friends (us) and have them play.
I was so touched last year at one time when they were out of town, and a friend needed something out of their house. Lowell called me and asked me to go over and let her in, and she said, "Barb and Mark are the only people I'll trust in the house when I'm not there." We will miss her terribly: her wit, her intelligence, her flair, her friendship. God called up an extra-ordinary angel when He called her home.##imported-begin##Mark and Barb Hargrove##imported-end##
