Louis R. Kunschak's Obituary
"Louie" at the age of 90 passed away while in rehab at Whittier Health Center in Seattle on Thursday, August 25, 2005. He was born in Tacoma on April 29, 1915; and spent his teenage years in Puyallup where he graduated with honors from Puyallup High School. Louie and his wife, Eva, moved back to Tacoma in 1941. Louie was a charter member of the first 3-C's camp formed in the state of WA. He was plant supervisor at the American Manufacturing Co. for 35 years. Louie and his family belonged to Luther Memorial Church since 1942. He sang in the choir for over 55 years, held all offices on the Executive Council, taught Adult Bible Education and was Sunday School Superintendent. Louie and his beloved Eva were avid golfers, ballroom dancers, bridge players and gardeners. Louie had "3 Holes in One". He was the son of Adolph and Hattie Kunschak and was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Eva May. In March 2004, Louie moved to Seattle to live with Linda and Stuart. He is survived by his two daughters; Linda Joy Sommerville (Stuart) of Seattle, WA and Sandra Lee Curry (Pete) of Indianapolis, IN., 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Louie will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 17, 2005 in the Mount View Garden Chapel, with a reception following also at Mountain View. In honor of Louie and in lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Lymphedema Garment Fund; MultiCare, PO Box 5296, Tacoma, WA 98415. Lymphedema care made it possible for Louie to walk again his last two years.
