Louis Green Louis Green was born on May 4, 1938 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was the only child of Evelyn Thornton Green and Louis Green Sr., both of whom preceded him in death.Louis resided in St. Joseph during his early years where he was reared by his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Arnetta Thornton. He attended Bartlett Elementary School, and was a graduate of Central High School where he was recognized as an outstanding player on the school football team. Following his graduation from high school, Louis enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in which he served for 20 years. During his tour of duty with the Air Force, Louis met and married his wife of 43 years, Evangeline (Vangie). Subsequent to his military service, Louis devoted his professional life to the United States Postal Service for 21 years where he served in a top level management position.Louis made his transition on Saturday, April 17, 2004. He shall be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind to cherish precious memories, his loving wife, Evangeline (Vangie); two daughters, Gina, and Tina ; and three sons, Barry, Louis and Gerard along with 13 grandchildren. Also, one uncle, Paul Thornton of Hazel Crest, Illinois.A funeral service will be held at 12:00 on Friday, April 23, 2004 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way. A viewing will be held from 3PM-9PM on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at Mt. View Funeral Home.
