Louis F. Katterhagen's Obituary
Louis Frank Katterhagen was born August 18, 1919 in Browerville, Minn to Catherine & Henry. He passed away peacefully on May 16, 2005. Louie was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend to all. He has lived in Lakewood the past 58 years with his lovely wife Lucile and family. Louie is survived by his beautiful wife Lucile of 63 years of marriage, Sons David (Debbie) of Tacoma, Joel (Kathy) of Federal Way, Daughter Jill (Mark) of Tacoma, Son-in-law Don of Lakewood, Grandchildren, Julie, Ryan, Megan, Melissa, Davis & Sarah. He was preceded in death by his lovely Daughter Susan, six Sisters, and best friend Al Borgert. He joined the Army in 1941 and served in Europe as a Staff Sergeant during the Â"Battle of the BulgeÂ". After the war Louie & Lucile moved to Tacoma where he served as Head Chef at Madigan Hospital for 30 years. He retired from civil service & drove a handicap school bus for Clover Park School District for 10 years. He retired from bus driving and spent remaining years traveling the United States in their Motor Home as part of the Good Sam Club. Louie & Lucile are Charter Members of St. Francis Cabrini Parish since 1952.LouieÂ's friends and family were the source of his joy and strength and they in turn loved Louie for his remarkable kindness, strength, and his sense of humor. Louie, we will miss you-Godspeed!There will be a Rosary held on Friday May 20, 2005 at 10:00AM, with a viewing before and after the Rosary. Funeral Services will be held Friday May 20, 2005 at 11:00AM. All services will be held at St. Francis Cabrini Church. There will be a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in LouisÂ' honor may be made to St. Francis Cabrini School.
