Lou Earl Sherron Hamilton's Obituary
Lou Sherron was born on November 4, 1930, in New Light, Wake County, North Carolina, and passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 95. Her long life was marked by her devotion as a homemaker, finding purpose and joy in caring for her family.
Lou married her high school sweetheart, Roger N. Hamilton, who preceded her in death in 1988. His career in the United States Air Force shaped much of their early family life. Their travels took them to California, where they welcomed their first four children—David Hamilton, Linda Wood, Jackie Blatteau, and Arliss Heinzman. From there, they moved to Japan and then to Wyoming, where their youngest daughter, Donna Hamilton, was born (and who later passed away in 2006). They eventually settled in Washington State in 1970 when Roger retired from the Air Force.
Lou was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: the children of Arliss and Rick Heinzman — Jazarae Augustin, Brittany Hewitt, Bayleigh Heinzman, and Raeanna Heinzman; and the children of Linda and Scott Wood — Scotty Wood and Caitlin Wood. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren.
Lou is also survived by her older sister Clara Sterle. She was preceded in death by her brothers Cole and William, and her sister Ruth.
Lou often offered the same tender farewell — “all my love” — a phrase that will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
