Lorraine Stewart's Obituary
On May 18, 2025, we said goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Lorraine Stewart, who passed away peacefully in Puyallup, Washington, at the age of 91. Born on September 17, 1933, in Black Diamond, Washington, Lorraine lived a life defined by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Lorraine was the heart of our family—a confident, hardworking, and selfless woman who dedicated her life to nurturing those she loved. Her strength and determination were matched only by her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit. As a proud matriarch, she found her greatest joy in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she taught us the value of perseverance and the importance of being there for one another.
A true lover of classic country music, Lorraine’s home was often filled with the sounds of Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton. In her younger years, she enjoyed square dancing with friends and could shoot a mean game of pool, always surprising us with her competitive edge and playful heart. She created lasting memories with her grandchildren through camping trips, clam-digging adventures along the Washington coast and, in later years, cherished cruises that brought the family together on the open seas.
Family meant everything to Lorraine. Our monthly luncheons were filled with laughter and stories, strengthening the bonds between us all. She made everyone feel at home and left a legacy of love, kindness, and deep familial connection that will continue to inspire us every day.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Cynthia (Dennis) Corrigan and Larry (Maelana) Stewart; her grandchildren Bill (Isabel) Corrigan, Robert Corrigan, and Jennifer Corrigan; and her great-grandchildren Gracelynn, Anthony, Abigail, Logan, Journey, Noah, and Noble. She is now reunited with her beloved daughter, Christine Stewart.
We will miss her deeply but find comfort in the countless memories we shared. Her spirit lives on in all of us, and we will honor her by keeping the family traditions she held so dear. Lorraine will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
