Lorraine C Stevens' Obituary
Lorraine Clementine Stevens took the journey to her heavenly home on June 4, 2015. Lorraine was born to Robert and Lillian Hansler on March 27, 1922 in Tacoma Washington. She spent her school years in Tacoma and Midland.
She was an avid gardener and always took special pride in her flowers. Sweet peas and roses were her favorites, although many flowers had a special place in her heart for specific reasons. She loved cooking, baking, and canning, sewing, embroidery, and many crafts.
Lorraine graduated from Lincoln high school in Tacoma, Washington in 1935. She and worked as a secretary for McDonald builders, Ford Junior High in Midland, and several business in Livingston Montana.
Lorraine married William Stevens on March 30, 1945. They had three children; Laura (Rich), Stan (Sandy), and Mark (Vicki). Rain and Bill were very proud of their children and grandchildren. Bill and Rain moved to Livingston Montana in 1963 and made their home there until Bill’s retirement. Bill preceded Lorraine in death on January 28, 2002. They celebrated 56 years together.
Rain and Bill moved to Country Meadows in Silverddale in 2001 and she made her home there until her death. During this time she met her second Bill, Bill Scrafford. They were married on June 25, 2005. They cherished their days together and gardening and traveling together for 5 years. Bill died on January 30, 2010.
Lorraine had 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
Lorraine was a very kind person, even up to the end. She loved giving small gifts to others, especially her flowers, and gained all of her strength from her faith and this showed in all she did.
Lorraine is survived by her three children, her step sons Jim (Kathy) Scrafford, Mark Scrafford, her brother John Hansler (Phyllis). She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister Marie Christensen (Roy), brother Earl Hansler, & grandson Shawn Lannon.
