Loretta Clemons Smith's Obituary
On May 11, 2019 God received an angel Loretta C Smith who was a youthful 62 year old, in Tacoma, WA. She was born & raised in Memphis, TN 12/01/1956, to Lorine Wright & Tommie Lee Clemons, Sr. She was the middle child of 10 siblings. Loretta was not only a mother to three girls, she was a grandmother to six children and a great-grandmother to 1. Loretta took pride in working as a civilian over 35 years for Aafees on many military bases across the U.S. Loretta loved to watch the shows called Coronation Street, COPS, Judge Judy, and Jeopardy to name a few of her favorites. Loretta loved going dancing and socializing. With her contagious smile gone, a light in this dark world has dimmed!. Although she is no longer a part of the flesh, she will continue to live on in our memories. To all of those who knew Loretta, our hearts combined could not resist nor restrain the heart who called her home.
She is survived by her three daughters LaShondra in Denver, CO, Lakiesha and Nyiesha both in Tacoma, WA, as well as her 8 siblings located in Memphis, TN all of whom brought great delight to her later years.
“Please Understand”
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow.
But remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles.
I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief.
My going has eased my hurt and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me.
Not as I am now, but as I used to be.
Because, I will remember you all and look on with a smile.
Understand, in your hearts I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you.
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
