Lorena L. Cole
Lorena L. Cole was born in Aberdeen, WA on 9/7/1928. She graduated from Vashon High. She met the love of her life, Bruce Cole and married him in 1947. Rena and Bruce were an active and fun-loving couple with a wide variety of friends and hobbies, including drag racing, stock car racing and jeeping. They had four wonderful daughters who as children participated with them in all of their hobbies. In 1979 Rena and Bruce moved to Ketchikan, AK and enjoyed many years fishing and boating. After Bruce passed away in 1989 Lorena moved to Graham to be closer to her four daughters. Rena was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime volunteer at her church and active charter member of the YMCA. This wonderful lady, from a small town, led a very exciting and full life and leaves behind a large loving family. She is survived by her daughters Mary Myhre (John Sicktich), Debbie (Jim) Sharbono, Susan (Rory) Calhoun and Margi (Larry) Farmer, and 9 grandchildren, Don (Tracy), Jessica (Will), Cassie (Wake), Tom, Ryan (Ashley), Amanda, Mattheu (Ashley), Brent (Mariah) and Mike. She also had 6 great-grandchildren and 2 more due in March. She has three surviving siblings, Bill Mitchell, Al (Andy) Mitchell, and Mary (Dave) Reckner. Her family will miss her deeply because she was a great mom and cool grandma. Memorial service will be at the Lutheran Church of St. Paul, 22419 108th Ave East, Graham, WA 98360, 253-847-3084. The service is at 3:00 PM on Oct. 1, 2011. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
