Loreen Lavern Thomas' Obituary
Loreen L. Thomas went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2014 in Tacoma, Washington. She was born to Adora and Juan Cortez, the second of three girls, in Panama City, Panama on May 23, 1956.
Loreen was known for her big and bold personality, sense of fashion, decorative skill and her uncertified degree in Astrology.
She worked for Washington State as a Psychiatric Security attendant at Western State Hospital for the last 20 years. She enjoyed what she did and did not mind letting you know.
Loreen was a force to be reckoned with. As much as you wouldn’t want to like her, you ended up loving her even more! Her life was filled with many friends, family and memories of laughter and love.
She had found Mr. Kenneth (KJ) Miller her life’s partner, a special man in her life with whom she planned to spend eternity with. He will always hold a special place in his heart for Loreen.
Loreen has two children K’daya (Cardell) Johnson and Quintas Putney; sister Jean (Tavaris) Dixon; grandchildren Janisia Swint, Malik Putney, Anthony Davis, Qu-mari Putney and Emani Johnnson; niece RaJean Davinport and nephew Quavez Dixon.
Loreen will be greatly missed and remembered, but is reunited in Heaven with her sister Laura.
Viewing will be from 10am -8pm Wednesday April 23 at Mountain View Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, April 24 at Mountain View Funeral Home Celebration of Life Center Aspen Chapel.
