Celebrating the Life of Lois Ileene Rutz
Lois Ileene Rutz, 84, of Tacoma passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side, after battling a courageous fight with cancer on June 5th, 2014. Born on July 15, 1929 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her parents were Thomas Franklin Lawler and Myrtle Dorothy Dodge. She was proceeded in death by her two parents and youngest son Todd Rutz. Lois is survived by her husband Charles Rutz whom she married September 17, 1947 in Killdeer, ND and her children Daryl "Brent" Rutz (Veronica) and Sherri Rutz (Michael). She enjoyed spending time with her 7 grandchildren - Rick, Michael, Jeffrey (Amber), Daryl Jr. (Laura), Jillian, Brandon, David and her 9 great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, baking, oil painting, shopping, spending time with her family and her “extra hot with an extra shot" Lattes.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park (4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW Lakewood, WA 98499) on Tuesday June 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
