Lois Reda's Obituary
Lois Mae Reda Passed away February 3, 2012, with family by her side at her home in Puyallup, WA. She was born January 3, 1922, in Tacoma to Joseph and Elizabeth Nelson. Lois graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939 and continued to live most of her life in the Tacoma and Puyallup area. Lois was a devoted wife and mother, spending most of her years raising her children. She dedicated time to PTA, taking her children to sporting events and berry field outings, while also serving as a Cub Scout den mother. When her children were grown, Lois worked at Meyer's House of Clocks at the Tacoma Mall. In her later years, Lois enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her favorite travel destinations included Hawaii, Europe, and the Washington Coast. Lois also enjoyed Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, gardening, and cooking. She was an active member of Glove and Trowel Garden Club, the Puyallup Chapter, from 1984-2006. Her love of cooking ranged from Italian to Asian fares and was a true expression of her love to others and mothering nature. Lois is survived by her children, Diane Armenio, Donna Long, Wayne Reda, and Gary Reda. She had 4 grandchildren, Jamie, Shelly, Tony, and Jennifer, and 1 great-grandchild, Nicole. Viewing will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Bklvd. SW, Lakewood, WA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home.
