LOIS M. KUPER
Lois passed peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on October 20, 2008 in Colorado Springs, CO. Lois was born on February 28, 1921 in Tacoma WA. She grew up in Spanaway with her sister Marjorie and her father, Fred Rohr. Her mother, Eva, passed away when she was five years old. Lois grew up on the farm and lived in the same house until spring of 2006. She graduated from Kapowsin High School and attended business school. She worked for an insurance agency, and later drove bus for Bethel School District. She was happily married for 47 years to Kenneth Kuper, who passed away in 1998. Lois and Ken were active members of Spanaway Assembly of God Church for many years, and later attended Clover Creek Bible Fellowship. Lois lived a life of strong faith, teaching Sunday School and serving in the church. Lois enjoyed woodworking and baking for friends and relatives. She delighted in her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Fred Rohr in 1970, her husband Ken, and her sister Marjorie Ybarra in 2001. She is survived by her son Larry (Mona) Kuper of Reno, NV; her daughters Margie Bellmer of Puyallup, WA and Darlene (Gregg) Keen of Colorado Springs, CO; and 6 grandchildren: Jessica Kuper, Alan Kuper, Michael (Jackie) Bellmer, Angela Bellmer, Emily Keen, Joshua Keen; and 1 great-grandson, Braeden Bellmer. A public memorial service celebrating Lois' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 at Fir Lane Funeral Home, 924 E. 176th St., Spanaway. Private interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Lois' memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. http://www.alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.asp
