Dear Richard
My condolence and Aloha to you and your family for the loss of your loved one.
It's been a long time but I immediately recognized the photo of someone who was dear to a good friend of mine in Hawaii 50 years ago.
I remembered she always was a wonderful mother and husband to you and always cordial when I stayed over for dinner at the last moments.
The poem is very beautiful and heart felt deeply for all with similar losses.
Through the years I often wondered how you, lois and Philip were doing and was pleased to hear of your gradustion and eventual professorship - your will and
determination is inspiring.
This is not meant to be a reminiscent letter but it has been 50 years since We were struggling newspaper delivery managers then trying to take care of our young families.
We have accomplished our goals and have had the gift of our wonderful wives and families.
Richard, Lois will always be with you.
Much Aloha and Deepest Sympathy
