Lois Jeanne HydeLois Hyde was born on April 3, 1933 to Lawrence and Azalda Herson in Escanaba, MI. After a lengthy battle with COPD, Lois passed away in her Lakewood home Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002. In 1942 she and her family moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she grew up and attended school. After graduating from Wilson High School in 1951, Lois married Sidney Â"AveryÂ" Hyde in Glendale, CA.She was a loving and devoted Air Force wife to her husband for 51 years, accompanying him to his various assignments during his military career. Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Sidney, 3 sons, Larry (Melinda), Randy (Heidi) and John (Debbie); 5 grandchildren, Tiffany, Sean, Ashley, Kevin and Kalli; Sister, Mary Jane Peed. Also several nieces and nephews.Lois will always be remembered for her caring heart and generosity to those whose lives she touched. She loved her family very dearly, as they all loved her. Her most ardent passion of all was her fondness and care of animals. She made her house a loving home to many dogs throughout her life.The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Dr. Hayami and a special thanks to Dr. Roth and staff, LoisÂ' long time Pulmonary Physician at Madigan Hospital. We also extend our thanks for the tender care given by Franciscan Hospice.A memorial service will be held in the Garden Chapel at 2:00 PM, Thursday, Dec. 26, at Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
