Lois C. Wittenberg's Obituary
On 11-15-2012 at the age of 91, Lois went to join the Heavenly chorus. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was a WW2 veteran, the amazing and much loved matriarch of a military family, real estate agent, Sweet Adeline and bass in quartets. Lois loved working at the WW Fair, quilting, crafting, singing and life. Lois was a long time Puyallup resident, born in Kansas and also lived in Michigan, Colorado, Okinawa, and Pakistan. She was preceded in death by husband Homer of 54 years, and loving partner, Bill Finkbiner. She is survived by sons Dan, Mike (Robin) and David (Susan) Wittenberg, Roelof vdWal, daughters Juddy (Bob) Phillips, Janie Ellison and Bonnie Hausman, 8 grand-children, 10 great-grand-children, siblings Georgia, Rose and Les, extended family and many friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2PM Sunday 11-18-2012 at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 714 138th St E., Tacoma WA 98445. Family will be making a donation to Alzheimer's Research and contributions will be accepted at the services or at www.ahaf.org/alzheimers/.
