Llucinda Fae Spencer's Obituary
Llucinda “Cindy” Fae Spencer, 61, passed away on March 4, 2015 in Tacoma, WA. She was born on July 25, 1953 in Auburn, WA to James W. and Maryllyn N. (Kestin) Spencer.
Cindy graduated from Auburn High School with the Class of 1971. She went on to receive her Associate’s degree from Green River Community College. Following her education, she went on to work for Copeland Lumber Company for a short time as their bookkeeper, most of her adult life was spent as a companion assisting her mother.
Cindy loved gardening/yard work and was an informal expert horticulturist, she grew beautiful roses. Cindy also studied numerology and was fascinated by how our life experiences coincide with numbers like birth dates. She was also a compelling story teller leading us on many 'Lion Hunts' around campfires with the family and kids. Cindy loved her childhood pets including dogs Puddles, Lonesome, Watch, and Rebel who she basically saved by changing him from a wild mean dog into a protective loving family member. She adored her horse Sounder and a pesky rooster by the name of Blackfeather, which she raised from a chick. She was a fan of many forms of music and enjoyed listening to 60’s & 70’s era music. Everything for Cindy revolved around her family; especially annual camping trips to Depot Bay, sing-alongs at family get together’s, birthday celebrations (she memorized everybody’s birthday), and Saturday night pot luck dinner/card parties. Cindy was a wonderful card player and great partner to have. She also enjoyed entertaining and babysitting her nieces, nephews, and cousins she dearly loved them all. She will be missed by everyone that had the opportunity to meet and get to know her.
Cindy is survived by her mother Maryllyn; sisters Virginia Furney and Janna (Kirk) Ralston; brothers Calvin (Mary Lou) Spencer and James (Kimberly) Spencer; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father (9/9/71).
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
