Lloyd J. Rogers' Obituary
Lloyd Jesse "LJ" Rogers, of Fircrest, passed away quietly the morning of April 11, 2016, after a successful 94 years of living a beautiful life. Preceded in death by wife Katherine. Lloyd retired from Pacific NW Bell and was a WWII USCG veteran serving his country at the invasion of Tarawa. LJ is survived by his loving companion of 44 years, Margaret Carlson, sisters Faye Rogers, May Betts and Cecil Simpson, son Bruce Rogers (Agnes) and daughter Courtney Nickolas (Nick) and granddaughter Jessie Rogers. Plus nieces, nephews and the son, daughters, grandkids and great grandkids from the loving Carlson family. Lloyd was a proud Tacoma Elk with a passion for restoring MG's. Loved to travel, two cherry Manhattans, and sharing Hershey kisses. Lloyd Rogers, loved by all he touched, a quiet man who gave more than he took.
A gathering reception for family and friends of Lloyd will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 3:30 PM in the Celebration of Life Center, Willow Room at Mountain View Funeral Home.
