Lloyd R. McKittrick's Obituary
Lloyd R. McKittrick, 54 of Lakewood, Washington passed away on July 11, 2022. Lloyd will be missed and is loved by many family and friends.
Lloyd Roy McKittrick was born on February 15, 1968, in Santa Rosa CA. Lloyd came into the Aacres program in November of 1999. At the time when Lloyd came to Aacres for assistance and supportive services, nobody would have thought that Lloyd would affect and have an impact on so many lives. Lloyd became more like family to many. Lloyd held several jobs while at Aacres, working for many years at Centerforce and St.Vincent's and his last jobs at , Value City. Lloyd enjoyed those jobs because he was around the things he liked most, STUFF. Lloyd was a curious and wonderful guy that loved to fix things as he called it, no matter if it was broken or not "he could fix it". Lloyd liked going on adventures and outings and "Getting Lucky".
This was another part of his unique character ... it was where he'd have the chance to find things that he could do arts and crafts with. Lloyd was very inventive, thrifty and a collector of many things like baseball cards, rubber bands and soda can tops. His eyes were always on the lookout for a yard or garage sale, where he loved getting a good deal and being hooked up LARGE. Lloyd loved to go bye-bye and shopping with a full wallet, catching yellow jackets on van rides or in the community. Lloyd loved going to the Glad dances and would go all out getting dressed and always dapper for the occasion. On Halloween, Lloyd walked away with the best costume a couple of times. Lloyd had a way of coming up with some of the best quotes and one of his best and probably one of the most polite was . . . I'm just trying to be nice ... almost always he would say or even sometimes sing Thank You ... and if you didn't respond he would say you're welcome, to remind you ... hey ... I just said Thanks or even vice versa by saying or singing you're welcome to remind you to say thank you. Lloyd would often speak or sing in the third person, which was a wonderful and interesting part of Lloyds' personality and character. Lloyd loved wrestling and made sure everybody knew that Braun Strowman was his favorite wrestler.
Lloyd , loved listening to music and he liked listening tothe BeeGee's, Queen, Jonny Appleseed, and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer for hours. His favorite food was nachos but salmon was a close second, not. Lloyd was a very funny character and here are some of Lloyd's best paraphrases ...
Can we cook with cocaine? (Meaning propane.)
This needs chargable batteries. (Meaning rechargeable)
You know that thing at/by/in the store ... the
red/black/blue/green or yellow one?
And the classic, I don't believe this ...
Lloyd was a hand full at times but a special individual and will be missed by his long-time roommates, staff, and people that supported Lloyd throughout the years. We will remember Lloyd for his wonderful spirit and uniqueness.
