Lloyd H. Gallagher's Obituary
Lloyd H. Gallagher, 94, a longtime Mountlake Terrace and Oroville resident, died June 27, 2023, while under hospice care in Lakewood.
Lloyd was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Wilder, Kansas, to John and Maude Gallagher.
He grew up in Kansas and served in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1948 to 1950.
In 1950 he married Carol Lee Flauding, also of Kansas, who he met because his sister was married to her brother.
The couple eventually moved to Washington state and settled in Mountlake Terrace, where they raised their four children, Mark, Cathy, Lloyd and Terri.
He was a tool and die maker, and he worked for Boeing and Fluke manufacturing.
Lloyd and Carol moved to Eastern Washington in the 1980s, eventually ending in Oroville, where he enjoyed gun smithing and participating in shooting competitions. They liked to go to the Eden Valley Ranch, where they enjoyed gatherings and holidays.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wesley, his sister Jean, and his daughter Cathy in 2004.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Carol; his son Mark (Gale) in South Africa, and Mark's sons Shaun and Aaron; Cathy's children Ian and JoLee; son Lloyd and daughter-in-law Cheryl of Cosmopolis, and their sons Ryan and Chris; daughter Terri Lee Gallagher (Roberto) Bacaycay of Port Orchard, and Terri's children Tomas Atiles, Travis Pirak and Lacey Kuhns; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
