Our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather Dean Doering passed away peacefully at his home in Tenino, WA on May 20, 2010. He will be welcomed by family & friends that have passed before him. Dean was born on August 16, 1929 in Julesburg, CO, moving to Tacoma as a child and graduating from Lincoln High School in 1947. In 2003 Dean and Wanda moved to the final family home in Tenino. Dean was an avid baseball player all through school and beyond. After high school Dean formed a western band, The EZ Rhythm Boys, with 4 other friends. Dean worked for and retired from the Western Electric Company. Dean was also a Gold Member of the Puyallup Elks. Deans' first love was his family, but he loved the outdoors as well; he was an avid sportsman, loving to hunt and fish at every opportunity. He was a skilled craftsman and loved his shop, often completing projects for his home, family and friends.
Dean is survived by his bride of 58 years, Wanda Lee, his daughters Rebecca Doering-Pogue , Valarie Vernon (husband Owen), son-in-law, Bob, 3 Grandsons; Tom, Quin & Rob, 4 Great Grandchildren, and a large extended family that loves him dearly.
