Lloyd Andrew Anderson's Obituary
Lloyd A. Anderson, 90, of Tacoma, passed away on September 29, 2010.
Lloyd was born November 21,1919 to Andrew and Christine Anderson on a farm in Duluth, Minnesota. He graduated from Central High School. He married Lucille C. Beyer on. June 14, 1941. Lloyd served in the navy during WW2. After the war, Lloyd worked as a machinist for a short time. He then sold real estate in Tacoma, WA, with several companies. The company he retired from was W.H. Opie & Company. He loved his job and had an incredible memory - seeing people many years after the sale of a house and remembering their name and even the address of the house sold. His real estate service to others is best summed up by the quote on one of the plaques he received -Å"In sincere appreciation of his company loyalty, integrity, and superior performance in winning the top salesperson award 16 times in the past 17 years- (W.H. Opie & Co.1980).
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille (Beyer) Anderson. He is survived by 3 daughters; Corrine Pulley & Sandra (Len) Davis of Tacoma, WA, Margaret (Greg) Smith of Longview, WA; and a son, Dennis Anderson of Homer, AK . He is also survived by 4 sisters, 1 brother, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tue.October 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Skyline Presbyterian Church 6301 Westgate Boulevard, Tacoma, WA. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Memorial Contributions in Lloyds's honor may be made to Skyline Presbyterian Church in Tacoma or Franciscan Hospice.
