There simply are not enough words to express how difficult it has been to know you are gone. Even now, I find myself trying to grasp what it means that I will never again see your radiant smile—a smile that could brighten anyone's day.
There was never a moment when you weren't willing to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word, often at exactly the right time, even when you didn't know how badly it was needed. That was simply who you were. Your kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing you.
Brother Gilmore, you meant so much to the Turner family. You were a trusted and cherished friend to my mother, who feels the weight of your loss deeply. To us daughters, you became so much more than a family friend—you were our bonus dad, always encouraging us, supporting us, and loving us as if we were your own. To my two young men, who lost their grandfather far too soon, you filled that space with love, wisdom, and unwavering care. Your impact on our family cannot be measured.
You gave of yourself without hesitation, shared your wisdom so others could grow, and loved people without expecting anything in return. You had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel valued, welcomed, and cared for. That is why your absence leaves such an incredible void in the hearts of so many.
Although I wasn't blessed to see you every day, please know you held a permanent place in our hearts. The memories you gave us and the example you set will stay with us always.
To your family, there are no words that can truly ease the pain of such a tremendous loss. We simply want you to know how grateful we are that you shared such an extraordinary man with all of us. His legacy of kindness, faith, generosity, and love will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
Thank you, Daddy Gilmore, for loving our family as your own. Thank you for your guidance, your laughter, your wisdom, and your continued support. Those gifts are ones we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
We love you, Sir. Rest peacefully until we meet again.
Nichole Turner & Family

Uncle Lindsey (Godfather), there are truly no words to express how surreal this all feels. My heart is still trying to make sense of the fact that you have received your heavenly reward, so richly and deservedly earned by living the life God called you to live.
I thank God that He chose our family to be blessed by your presence, your wisdom, your faith, and your love. You were a gift to all of us. Your spirit is so big, so powerful, and so full of love that it will forever live in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing you.
I had a beautiful testimony I couldn't wait to share with you because I knew you would appreciate it, but somehow my heart finds comfort in knowing you're already aware of it. You're now in the presence of the One you served so faithfully.
Today, I celebrate every amazing part of who you were. I celebrate your kindness, your strength, your unwavering faith, your wisdom, and the genuine care you showed everyone around you. Yet even as I celebrate your life, my heart hurts knowing you're no longer just a phone call away.
One of my greatest blessings is knowing that our last conversation ended in prayer. What a gift it was to hear your voice one more time, to receive your love one more time, and to share that sacred moment before God called you home. That memory will forever be one of the treasures I carry in my heart.
I will hold every conversation, every laugh, every lesson, and every memory close to me for the rest of my life. Thank you for loving me, praying for me, forever encouraging me, and showing me what it means to walk faithfully with God. ❤️ I will continue to do my best!
I love you beyond time, beyond distance, and beyond this earthly goodbye. Rest peacefully, Uncle. Take your well-deserved rest until that glorious day when we meet again. Until then, your love will live on in me, and your memory will forever be a blessing. ❤️
Matthew 25:23: "Well done, good and faithful servant." You faithfully walked the path God set before you, loved people well, and lived as a true Man of God. Your reward is now complete, and Heaven is richer because you are there. Timothy 4:7 You fought the good fight, finished your race, and kept the faith. Your life was a testimony of God's goodness, and your legacy will continue to inspire all of us who were blessed to know and love you.
