Lindy R. Andresen's Obituary
Lindy "Andy' Andresen, 82, passed away June 21, 2010 after a valiant battle with lymphoma. When he was born on December 22, 1927, his parents Carl and Asta Andresen named him after the aviator Charles Lindbergh and Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen. After serving in the Navy and Coast Guard, he moved to Spanaway and worked as a charter pilot, crop duster, welder and mobile home technician. He raced limited hydros, setting a world speed record in the 1970s. He was a member of the Mt. Rainier Radio Control Society and Academy of Model Aeronautics. Lindy is survived by his son, Lin Andresen (Theresa), Queen Creek, AZ; sister Nadine Benson (Ben), Bainbridge Island; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Terry Andresen, LaCrosse, WI; and half-brother Willy Amundsen, Oslo, Norway.
