Lindia C. Richard
Lindia C. Richard, born on December 9, 1944 in Panama, Lindia moved to the U.S. as a teenager and relocated to Tacoma, where she met the love of her life, James P. Richard whom she married on December 24, 1977. Lindia was a devoted member of the Catholic Church at St. Francis Cabrini in Lakewood, and served as the Spanish/English Advocator and also was appointed to the Office of Advocate by the Archdiocese of Seattle. Lindia owned with her husband James, Lin's & J Restaurant in Tacoma on 96th Street Avenue South from 1982 until 1994 which was twice voted "Best Neighborhood Restaurant in Tacoma" Lindia will always be remembered for her love of family, joy of gardening, and her holiday displays. Lindia passed away on June 6, 2012 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband James, her Goddaughter, Mikia Cain, and a host of extended family and friends. A Celebration of Lindia's life will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW on Friday, June 15th at 12:00 p.m.
