I will miss you so greatly Aunt Linda. I had the pleasure of seeing you around the year of 2014 when we both came to Ohio. I also got to see your wonderful and doting (late) husband Uncle Major at that same time. You were such a great spirit, kind soul and a dedicated mother. The world is truly a loss without you. You were one of my mother's best sister-friends and nightly phone buddies and my mom would always talk about all the great marathon phone (2 hours plus+!) conversations you guys had. I always appreciated how close the two of you were. I am so sorry we lost a great mother, daughter, sister, aunt and wife. Sending condolences to your surviving children, family and friends.

My sister Linda had a vibrant personality and loved to laugh. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school at her Baptist church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She taught there for 5 years. Linda worked at the Southern Bell Telephone Company in Chattanooga.
In 1974, she enlisted in the Air Force. During her basic training days, she met her soul mate. His name was Major Whitten. Immediately, both future "Whittens were smitten." They were married by September of that year. She was a beautiful bride and I was thrilled to be the Maid-of-Honor in my sister's wedding.
As the years passed, we kept in touch by telephone. We stayed up late at night watching the shopping channels. She liked ordering household items as well as gift items. I am going to miss her happy voice, but her spirit will always be with me.
Love,
Sister, Carolyn L Henderson, Canton, OH

My beautiful sister warmth, kindness, wonderful laughter will be greatly missed. Enjoyed exchanging stories about our lives over the years. Always loved to hear the story how she met our brother -in - law. We teased each about our different hair styles over the years. You are at peace now my sister.

Aunt Linda my shopping auntie who always reminded me to "bling" and shine bright. I will never forget this butterfly sequin top you found at one of your special stores. You sent it to me saying you thought it was me. I never really had the courage to wear it, okay maybe once, but I am so grateful you took the time to remember me across the miles. I know we were supposed to write a love story together...but now you wrote the perfect ending....eternity with your greatest love of all....more than uncle Major...God! I love you Aunt Linda it's just time for the princess to take her rest with the King!
