Linda Torrey's Obituary
Linda Torrey, age 72 passed away peacefully the morning of January 2, 2022. Linda was born November 6th, 1949 in Tacoma, Washington to Roy and Agnes Johnston.
Linda was very crafty. She loved to crochet, sew, paint and decorate. Her hands were rarely still. Making ‘Quillows’ for her children and ‘Rag Blankets’ for her grandchildren were among her favorite. Linda made several wedding dresses along the years for family. She decorated her home for every holiday with an abundance of décor that she just loved.
Linda was a dedicated wife and mother. Her children and family were her life. When her kids were young you could find Linda sitting watching a little league game while hemming clothing. She loved baking and made custom cakes for all 5 of her kids for their birthdays every year.
Linda worked as a secretary for State Farm and retired after 27 years. She ran, organized and baked cookies for all the kids parties for the holidays during her time there.
Memories of her life will be cherished by her sister Sheila (Drew) Lawyer and brother Wayne (Karen) Johnston; her daughter LeAnne (Rick) Harse; her four sons Donald (Teri) Torrey; Adrian (Jackie) Torrey; Michael Torrey; Richard (Dee) Torrey; 9 grandchildren, many nephews, nieces and great-grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband Donald W Torrey, her parents Roy and Agnes Johnston and her brother William (Bill) Johnston.
