Linda Louise Miles' Obituary
Linda was born on December 7, 1946 in Tacoma. She was raised in the Northend of Tacoma by her loving parents Pete and June Zaferin along with her 4 sisters. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1965. Linda attended the University of Puget Sound and had the opportunity to travel Europe as a young lady. She met her true love, John Miles through the Apostolic Faith Church and they married in 1969. They lived in Portland, OR for the first several years of their marriage. Here they were blessed with 2 children, Peter and Heidi.
John & Linda moved to Tacoma in the mid 1970's. They bought a home on Waller Road, from which they ran their home-based business, American Gutter Service. They remained there until John’s passing in 2000. After John's passing, Linda moved to Tacoma County Estates 55+ community where she remained until her health began to fail.
Linda loved the Lord and was a devout Christian. She was very active in The Apostolic Faith Church. She taught Sunday School, played piano and organ, and sang with her sisters. Linda and John also ministered to the ship workers who would dock in Tacoma from all over the world. Not only would they invite them to church, but they would often entertain them in their home and teach them about God. They even took a trip to Taiwan and Korea to visit friends they had met over the years.
She is survived by her Son, Peter Miles & Daughter, Heidi Dyer, Grandchildren, Brian, Heather, Nathanael, her Great granddaughter, Rory, and her three Sisters, Darlene, Sandra and Janet
