Linda Marie Fredrickson's Obituary
Linda Marie Fredrickson (Hudina) passed away in Tacoma, Washington on June 17, 2017 at the age of 75. Born Nov. 29, 1941, she was a lifetime Tacoma resident and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. The spirited mother of two girls, Linda was a lunchroom supervisor for the Tacoma Public Schools and worked at Vern’s Burgers at the Puyallup Fair. She was also a merchandiser for American Greetings. She volunteered as a Camp Fire leader, donated books for deploying service members, funds to United Service Organizations Northwest and toys for Santa’s Castle. She was also the treasurer and an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for many years. In her spare time, Linda participated in a bowling league and was an avid reader, which kept her quick-witted and fiery into her final days. In addition, Linda enjoyed sewing, gardening and keeping up with her granddaughters’ travels. She kept close tabs on her four gallivanting granddaughters with her atlas on hand and a newspaper always open to the world and national weather. Linda also kept a close eye on the mailbox, eager to receive postcards from across the globe.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Stella Hudina. She is survived by sisters Janet (Terry) Jacklin and Karen Kaemerer; daughters Teresa (John) McGuire and Debbie (Jim) Zeller; granddaughters Sarah (Chris) Reijonen; Rachel Zeller; Alison (Derek) Piper and Melissa (Tyler) Lee and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Upon Linda’s request, there will be no funeral service—she preferred to do without all the tears and fussing—but if you would like to pay respects, you may visit her final resting place at the Mountain View remembrance mausoleum after July 1
