Linda Ann McPhaden's Obituary
Linda Ann McPhaden (Trueblood)Linda was born in Tacoma on March 6, 1937, to Leo and Helen Trueblood. She went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 6, 2003, after an extended illness. She was a loving, dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and she was loved by everyone who knew her. Despite her physical ordeal, she maintained a positive attitude and her great sense of humor right to the end.Linda is survived by her sister, Ruth Eckes (Edward); four children, Sherri Heise (Klaus), Bonnie Aldridge (Rocky), Robin Harwood (Edward), and David McPhaden, Jr. (Teisha); seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. At a point close to her final breath, she spoke of her father, who died 38 years ago, being present in her room. She loved her father dearly and there could have been no one better to greet her and accompany her as she made her way to heaven.Although her passing leaves a great void in many lives, those of us who are grieving her loss are at peace knowing that she is now in a better place where she no longer has pain or suffering, and where we will be reunited with her again some day.Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Friday, December 12, 2003, at the Mt. View Garden Chapel.
