Lillian Ness
Born Lillian Regan, March 9, 1920, passed way February 1, 2015 at the Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community. Born in Alliance, Nebraska to Charles and Ludmila Regan, the youngest of 6 children, Lillian graduated from Alliance High School in 1938. During World War II, Lillian moved to Tacoma, Washington where she worked in the payroll department at Todd Shipyard. Following the war, Lillian accepted a job at the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company. In Tacoma, Lillian met Armand Ness, a Tacoma native and veteran. Lillian and Armand were married October 26, 1946 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Lillian and Armand raised two daughters, Janet and Patricia. In the 1960’s Lillian went to work at the Tacoma City Light Retirement Office, where she retired in 1985. Lillian was a long-time member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, formerly Messiah Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Armand and is survived by her daughters, Patricia Marek of Tacoma and Janet Ness of Seattle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made to Glora Dei Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Retirement Community.
