Lillian F. Neeley's Obituary
Lillian (Lil) Francis Neeley, 84, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon Jan 4th at Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia Wa.
She is survived by her husband of 62 yrs, Jim, 3 sons, Mike, Rick & Bryan, 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren,1 Great-Great Grandchild and 2 Neices and Nephews.
Lillian was born in Pibroch Alberta, Canada in 1928 and was the youngest of six children (4 daughters & 2 sons) born to Willard & Olivene (Giguere) Clesson. Her family moved to Tacoma in 1940 and she later graduated from Stadium High School.
In February of 1950 she met the love of her life, Jim, and they were married in May. They raised their children in Tacoma. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Central Post Fund at Fort Lewis and later as a vice president of All State Building Materials until retirement in 1981. After retiring Lil and Jim traveled in their RV and ended up staying in Southern California for 10 years before returning to the Tacoma area.
Lillian was an avid golfer having two holes-in-one to her credit. She had many hobbies with ceramics, sewing, knitting, and crocheting being her favorites in her later years. Lillian also enjoyed genealogical research on her computer.
All those who knew and loved her will miss her. She is now home with her Lord and Savior Jesus.
Memorial services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park Tuesday, Jan 8th, 2013. At 10:30 a.m. a one-hour viewing will be held. The Memorial service will be at the graveside at 11:30 a.m.
