Leslie Ramsdell's Obituary
Leslie Ross Ramsdell, 80, of Tacoma, WA, passed away August 24, 2011, peacefully with his family by his side. Born, December 6, 1930, to Ross & Mildred Ramsdell. Les spent his youth living on Fox Island before residing in Tacoma.
He was a proud father of (3) sons, Larry & wife Brenda Ramsdell, Michael & wife Mia Ramsdell & Ed Ramsdell. A proud grandfather of Tasha & husband Matt Bunch, Shona Ramsdell, Ross & wife Sarah Ramsdell and proud great grandfather of Carin Bunch. He is also survived by his many nieces & nephews of Yakima, WA and Tacoma, WA, Brother Elk and long time friend Bob Williams.
Les graduated from Stadium High School in 1949, where he played hockey. He served his country overseas in the Navy during the Korean War and was a retired Teamster of short & long haul trucking for 35 years. But Les's true passion was being a long time member of the BPOE #174 Elks Lodge in Tacoma, WA. He dedicated 40 years of serving his community and making a difference in so many lives.
Services and reception will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 11:00am, at the Elks Lodge #174 located at 1965 S. Union Ave. Tacoma, WA 98405 253-272-1117.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Elks Lodge #174 on the day of the service or by mail.
