LeRoy George Merrion
9/16/1934 – 7/7/2016
LeRoy George Merrion passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on July 7th, 2016 after 7 years of fighting cancer. Born September 16th, 1934 in Duluth Minnesota. Survived by wife Ilene and four Children. Lynn M. Larson (Calvin), Cheryl A. Widland, LeRoy “Butch” Merrion (Annette), Patricia L. Jackson (Clint). 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. LeRoy served in the Navy for 8 years, retired from McChord Airforce Base at age 56 after a 40+ year career working for the Federal Government. LeRoy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid hunter. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. Join us for a graveside service Friday, July 15th at 12:30pm, and a Celebration of Life in the Aspen Chapel at 1pm at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, WA with a reception to follow. Dress code as requested by LeRoy is jeans and T-shirts.
