Leonard W. Stingley's Obituary
Leonard Stingley passed away in Tacoma on August 2, 2023. He was born in North Platte, Nebraska on November 30, 1927. He was raised in Hayes County until the age of 16 when he went to work at the Sioux Ordinance Depot near Sidney, Nebraska. It was in Sidney that he met the love of his life Margaret and married her on June 2, 1945.
Leonard went in the Army and was stationed at Fort Lewis. Margaret joined him and they made their home in Tacoma from then on. Leonard worked for ASARCO from 1947 until it closed in 1985. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Connie and Gene, his son and daughter-in-law Don and Allison as well as granddaughters Leanne, Stacie, Erica, Carrie and grandson Daniel. He will also be remembered by his 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Leonard was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all those who loved and respected him.
